I recently replaced a front bearing. Went to a
bearing house strategically located 2 mi from my
house! They quoted me $82 for a BCA/National bearing.
This is similar to the price for the same bearing
from the mega web parts places like carparts,
expressautoparts, wrenchead, etc. Went to a local
euro-parts house and got an SKF bearing for $36. I
was thrilled at the $36, but disappointed that the
bearing supplier was so high. I thought I had a gold
mine nearby. If someone finds wheel bearings for
significantly less, let everyone know!
