I think that your oily goo is the result of now having a turbocharger under 
the lid. Every turboed Audi and Renault I'v peered into has gobs of oil 
lining everything post turbo, and a good film of it before as well. The 
ribbed intercooler to throttle body hose is notorious for pooling up oil. So 
if there is enough oil to pool up in those stock motors I don't think you 
have cause for too much concern with your rig. Unless it's getting to the 
point that she's blowing blue smoke out the tail....
