Ment to post this yesturday but ran out of time....
Sat morning I got up to go work on my car, fix a few things here and there
that needed it. Got outside and went to the car, opend the trunk to get my
tools and wow... no tools.. Thinking to myself, did i put them in the wifes
car? Nope not there. Did i bring them in the house? Nope. Called best
friend right down the street asked him if he borrowed them? Nope. Looked
in the front of the car, and discovered the radar detector missing, and the
face plate for my 6 disc changer ripped right off its power/comm cable!
Looked in the trunk again and my boost gauge is missing (i had taken it off
to fix a leak in the line). Great, nice way to start of fathers day
weekend! Went down to the police station and reported it stolen. Now its
mostly my own fault for leaving the car unlocked and i happend to forget to
roll up the windows as well, but i had always felt if they wanted the radar
detector (a cheap cobra) that i would prefer they just take it and not break
anything trying to get it. Then they took my tools and of all things my
boost gauge???? gotta be a car guy then that took it. However I did luck
out and my flukemeter was laying face down in the trunk, they didnt notice
it and it was still there. The thing that pisses me off the most though, is
I had bought a tire plug kit for 4$ at car show a couple weeks before cause
I have a slow leak in one of the tires i need to plug. Well the sons of
"B"s took that from the glove box!!!! GRRRRRRRRRR now not only do i have to
replace my cd player controller, my radar detector, tools and boost guage,
but i have to get another plug kit!!!! God help those morons I ever find
who took them. I think i will inflict great amounts of pain on them with
each tool in my toolbox.
Well since i have an outstanding and loving wife, she went with me to sears
to price new tools and started pointing out the kits that sears sells for
120$ and up. Found pretty much exactly what I needed for about 179$ plus a
few other things like a breaker bar and assorted other things. So I'm
pretty much up and running again in the tool department, but they spend the
night in the house now!
Well just wanted to rant a bit.. thanks for listening...
