sorry to hear that,
Not to make things worse but I wonder if you
facilitated things even more by having the tools they
needed to take out your equipment right handy for them
in that tool box of yours.

I had my stereo ripped out of my 90Q, took the deck
out and the sub that I made a custom enclosure for to
fit in the tire well, and all the amps and x-over
stuff too. My roomate borrowed the car and forgot to
lock it, so luckily no real damage to the car. I made
out okay though with insurance. Just make sure that
you stay on them, i had to have amex go back about 2
years in their records in order to find the reciept of
purchase of the deck.
On the bright side next time you need to convince the
wife you need a new tool, "leave" the old one in the
trunk, ....wink, wink
