"events" list(and Mt. Washington)

... I have no problem with the events list myself, and I understand that
people travel long distances to events ... BTDT myself more than once.  What
I think would be appropriate would be if there was an event of general
interest (like the annual Steamboat school or Mt Washington) then I see no
problem with making a small number of notification posts to the main list.
In that notice the poster could say that if anyone was interested in
participating or more info that they could get it from the regional list.
IME the regional lists are good too ... we've had a few impromptu
lunch-style gatherings organized on the ba-audifans group.  They can also
help to minimize list traffic for local service vendors as well ...

... makes no never mind to me either way, I just thought I would offer my
thoughts on an alternative ...
