A/C Config. question

... if this is an urq, AFAIK that is the way they came ... I know that mine
certainly works that way.  It is more or less the nature of the beast if
memory serves ... the only way you can get air to flow past the evaporator
is with the recirc door open and the fresh air door closed ...

The A/C is turned on by a switch on the temperature contol slider ... you
could certainly put together an auxiliary switch to turn on the compressor
... or perhaps better yet a separate vacuum switch to control the recirc
function.
