Radiator Fan Relay - 80 amp is needed

Just an update for my friends - last winter the flat metal fusible
link for my radiator fan relay cracked and broke (1990 200, BTW) and
I jumpered a 30W fuse across it. Many of my list-friends were
surprised that it worked...but it did, for months.

However, it only worked while temps were cool. About a month ago
when the weather warmed up in Colorado and fan cycling time
increased, it popped repeatedly. I got the proper 80W metal fusible
link from the dealer (under $1.50 each, should have done it earlier)
und alles ist gut.

So if you've been tempted to try this, don't consider it to be more
than a "limp-home" fix.

Cheers...
