Don't suppose you remember ANY identifying information that might allow one
to track this story down???

I have used anti-seize on:
  1982 Peugeot 505 TD
  1986 VW Golf GTI
  1992 VW Golf GL
  1992 Toyota Camry
  1998 Audi A4

The bolts stay torqued with no problems. With or without anti-seize I
always re-check torque 2 days after installing bolts. Usually some of the
non-anti-seized bolts have loosened slightly at this point.

I would not put any of my tires back on without anti-seize.
