Regularly. At least four times a week.
Heidelberg-Hamburg is six hours at 5k+, give or take the odd Baustelle where they're widening the Autobahn between Bad Homburg and Kassel. I reckon to hit 140mph on the open sections - up to 150mph if I get someone playing hard to get. Once I get to speed, I leave it there until I get blocked by a speed limit (short sections are very common) or traffic.
I think the vast majority of North American drivers would be stunned to see how Audis are THRASHED up and down the Autobahns. I must make a video for you guys one day.
I used to have a Passat with an I5. It also had the 'economy' gearbox - a very long fifth gear. I never used it - the car was much faster in fourth from Cologne to Franfurt at 6k rpm. I drove it for 90k kilometres and handed it on with no problems and zero oil use.
I don't know whether it still does, but a Type 44 once held the world record for the greatest distance covered in 24 hours.
