Listers,
Planning on splicing the wires in my door jamb tommorow. Alot of them are
either completely apart or have broken insulation. Since I have no solderer
I plan on splicing in the wiring with crimp connectors just like one would
with a basic car stereo installation. My plan is too cut off the bad wiring,
splice in the good wiring, and use the extra wiring length that is up under
the kick panel to tuck the newly spliced wiring into the door panel. Does
this sound OK? Open to suggestions/BTDT. Just keep in mind my skills with
electrical wiring is weak and I don't have access to a soldering gun...
Also, does anyone know what gauge wiring I should use?
Lastly, does anyone have a clue to which color coded wiring does what?
Thanks!
