I would experiment with inconsequential, easy to swap parts, like
brackets, to see how it goes. It is a lot easier for the pros to get
the powder on right (ie, the electrostatic guns, they do it all the
time, etc.), but you can certainly bake it in your oven at home. It is
also non-toxic, which is why it is used so much - no solvents, no VOC's,
no EPA involvement.
