I started dismantling the dash of the Sport today and discovered the
following:
1) There is a neat thermostat, a rotatable dial rather like a volume control
of a radio. It resides on a bracket to the right of the evaporator and
behind the ECU.
2) The evaporator tray has a small rubber hose that protrudes about 3 inches
into a rubber grommet in the fire wall. I don't think it is connected to a
down hose or a L link that would take the condensation below the car. I
assume the stuff just runs out the hose and down the firewall. Anyone ever
seen this set up before?
3) There is a silver disc attached to one of the A/C pipes running into the
evaporator. I assume this is the Expansion valve. It has a ground wire
attached to it?
4) Where is the Ambient temp switch which is on Tracks 204/5 of the Bentley?
I could not find anything like this kind of device inside the car or under
the hood?
5) Where is the A/C Idle Stab. Valve on track 209 of the Bentley? And for
that matter, are both the A/C Cut Out Sw. and the A/C Compressor clutch the
same electrical unit on the Compressor.
BTW I am assuming a 1985 Urq/Coupe A/C installation here?
Colin
