Transmission dead? probably not clutch, 89 90q

I am curently haveing the same problem on my v-dub I know it's not the same
tranny but thay both work the same, I ended up replaceing the driveshaft oil
seals and it got better but I think my cluchplate is binding on the
mainshaft ,and yes defenitly replace the cluch while it's open it saves time
and whats better than a new cluch to burn off some tire tred in a street
race with some ricegrinder...
