I test drove one when new, way back when...
Actually I think it was one of the last few that
was still hanging around.  I drove it back to back
with the rwd version.  It was noticeably slower.
And I'm sure for the truly vain BMW buyer, the
ride height was probably an eye sore.  This was
in sunny SoCal, Manhattan Beach specifically.  
As I recall they were willing to discount it fairly
heavily at the time.
