215 on a sedan

225/40 will fit the front with ET35 rims, I have heard this from several
folks, no rubbing at all. Now the rear is questionable, but according to
Mr. Dewar it's fine with ET35 and quattro. I know for a fact that 225/40
will rub the rear in my FWD, only on the right side. Though I can eliminate
that by getting an adjustable panhard rod to center the rear perfectly. OR
I could run ET45 rims in the rear, but that is annoying and then I can't
rotate easily, which is needed on a FWD'er. Well I guess you could go with
the 215/40 if you want to, but I recommend that you go wider which gives you
a minute gain in sidewall and you get more width. Like I said I will be
fitting these shortly, once I pick them up and have a clear space to lift
the car I will be test fitting front and rear.

Cheers!
