You forget I'm running a 91 90q20v with 205/50-15 stock size rubber. That
equates to 586mm of tire/wheel. The 225/40-16 is closer than 215/40-16,
yes.

I would doubt that a 225 tire is gonna fit the front because of the non
b4 unflared fender, and also not in back due to the quattro suspension
differences between mine and yours.
