Extended warranty's?

Oh, I don't know... they quoted $1779 for my '98 A4 which has 45K
miles behind it already.  Considering I put about 15K/yr on it,
their 6yr/80K coverage would expire (for me) just 2 years after
my factory warranty runs out.  $1639 for 2 years' coverage?... no
thanks.  OTOH, their 100K option looks better... I'd be paying
$1779 for 3.3 years' coverage.  What do you think, list, should I
expect to sink $539/yr in repairs for the next 3+ years (beyond
routine maintenance, that is)?
