turbo cooling

Is the turbo in an '89 200Q water or oil cooled?  The reason I'm 
asking is when I took part of the intake ducting off today, the 
interior was coated in a light brown slime.  (The sort of stuff you 
find under your oil cap when you have a head gasket leak)   Since I 
have to add coolant to my car every couple of weeks, I'm wondering if 
it's leaking past a seal in the turbo.  It shouldn't be a head gasket 
problem, as the head was done last summer.  If this is the problem, 
is it OK to continue driving the car, or will the coolant leak cause 
more serious problems down the road?
