    I have come to the conclusion over the past three winters that snow
tires make the car in winter.  My FWD with Bridgestone Blizaaks handles
exceedingly well, I even passed quattro's on the roads here.  I haven't
gotten stuck in any driveway or lot, but in the same places I have seen
4x4's get stuck because they have all-seasons on.  Last night as we left my
friends place in town my other friend got stuck in his Toyota 4x4 pickup
whereas I had absolutely no problem backing out even further than him, the
problem, all-seasons on his rig.
