Welcome to the wonderful world of climate control Todd. I believe the
environment climate controllers could learn from this...or not. From
the outset the first problem could be the programmer. He lives in a
little black box behind the glove compartment (it truly is a glove box
cause that's all that fits). He runs a little POS motor/gear box
thingy that tends to malfunction causing the heat to be on full, on
half full, on half cold, on cold or any place in between. This little
POS moves flaps on the air box to...you guessed it didn't you? If you
want to bypass it, just release the bowden cable from the actuator arm
and move it back and forth to see if this is the problem...or...put
temp on 'hi' and see if actuator arm moves all the way to the left (I
think...it's been awhile) and all the way to the right for 'lo' just
to check it.
