Alternatively, you can get plastic hose at the dealer. It cost me about $4.
Seems to last for at least several years. IMHO it's more aesthetic than the
paper/foil hose.

i used vw beetle heater hose (cheap, at any import FLAPS) this is the
paper/alum flexi hose that is used on the old aircooled beetles fan shroud..
its the exact diameter as the audi fuel inj. cooling cose.
as far as the plastic diffuser shroud...those always break. if yours only
has one broken tab, consider yourself lucky :<)
