There are two sensors, one right behind the grill, in front of the
radiator; one in the air intake plenum for the climate control, right
beneath the passenger side of the windshield. The C/C uses the
lower of the two temperatures to display.
There is a chart in the Bentley about what resistance is equal to
what temperature, so you can test them with a thermometer and a
multimeter. However, I have found that it is almost *always*
corrosion on the connector for the behind-the-grill one.
It should be easy to find, it's about 3/4" in diameter, 1" long,
with two wires coming from it, usually just tie-wrapped to one
of the metal supports in front of the radiator. And the connector
usually has a trail of green crap on it.
Pull, clean, reseat, enjoy your drive.....
