External Antenna - Background Info

The windshield antenna is FM only and is externally amplified.  The rear
window is FM/AM and is also externally amplified.  This is on my 89 90q and
I would speculate the system would be the same on a similar year 200.  I
have seen kits to use the dual-diversity antenna with a non-dual-diversity
head unit but I just used the rear (FM and AM) antenna connection for my
head unit.  If you use the front you will only get FM.

Ah, another unknown (to me). Is the integrated AM windshield antenna
amplified externally from the radio on the 200s, etc.?
