Fender antennas do not require amplification, and so do not have amplifiers 
:) Only the 12" roof-mount and in-glass antennas need amps.

There should be one wire that, when powered, will raise/hold the antenna in 
raised position. On my 200q with antenna amplifiers, the white wire from 
the radio turns on the amplifiers (antenna as well as speaker, though the 
fire-hazard Bose speaker amps are no longer present). But your wires may 
vary.
