4000 Callaway kit

If I recall correctly, the claimed horsepower was 170.  I don't know about
the torque figure.  It used an IHI turbocharger with an integral wastegate,
custom made exhaust manifold, piping/hoses, an intercooler, and a Callaway
"Microfueler" (an add-on electronic module to provide full-throttle
enrichment).

VW & Porsche magazine (now known as European Car) once installed this kit
in their Project Audi Coupe GT circa 1986.  There were a whole series of
articles on that project.  If you manage to find back issues, those will
provide lots of info on the Callaway kit.

The question is, why?  That kit had been discontinued for a long time...
