96 A4 Questions

Did they do the thermostat at the same time? If they didn't and the car is
on its original thermostat, don't be surprised if it needs one
soon; and it's not an easy job.
Look at the front edge of the dash, where it meets the windshield.
Check to see if it's peeling up. The '96s have a tendency to do that.
Control arms: does the car make creaky noises going over bumps or
when you push up and down at a corner? The bushings had problems and
you may be looking at a new set of control arms.
That's all I can think of offhand. I just sold my '96, but loved each
and every one of the 98,000 miles I put on it.
