130hp 4KQ motors?

still confused, i think there might be a terminology problem here.... the
cam followers are cylinders that sit on top of the valves, the cylinders
carry shims in the top for adjustment. this is what i know as solid, ie non
hydraulic followers/lifters. im not too familiar with them but i thought
hydraulic followers/lifters where fingers which followed the cam and rocked
against a central fulcrum to push down on the valves. sorry to ask stupid
questions but its what ive thought was right. so whats a solid/mechanical
lifter then???
