First, unscrew the door lock button (the one with the P on top).

On the handle (the part that you grab from the inside), there's a trim piece
that fits straight over the top. Just pop it off with a smaller screwdriver
to reveal three screws (1 on top, two on bottom). Remove those screws and
then handle to reveal one more hidden in the bottom part of where the handle
just was, remove that, then one under the door release (real small
half-circle trim piece covering it), and then one screw each on the top
front and top back of the door trim. Then, just pry away at the bottom
using a big putty knife or other real thin strong tool, and the rest just
pops out.

Once it's loose, just pull up and over the threaded rod for the door lock.

Subject: Removing Door panel from 87 5000cstq

Ok,

I need to pull the door panel off of my 5000cstq to replace a door handle
and check some wiring. I was looking at the arm rest and there are no holes
for screws to hold it in, How do you get the arm rest off? From there it is
just popping off the trim panel right?

Any BTDTs would be much appriciated

Thanks

Joe
