'87 Coupe GT Questions

Started to take the Coupe GT apart to replace the lifters and got carried 
away so I decided to have the head rebuilt and replace all gaskets, bearings 
and seals on the bottom-end and change the water pump and timing belt. Since 
I have never taken this CGT apart before is there anything else that I 
should think about. Injectors are new and the fuel distributor was rebuilt 
just over a year ago. Most of the sensors are less than three years old and 
the engine has never given me any problems in the past. I did notice some of 
the wiring and connectors are starting to rust and would like to know if I 
should replace at least the connectors for now or just try cleaning them up 
and use a electrical lube on them.
