My understanding is that the heights were to assure that the oil did not sit 
on the input shaft seal at the front of the trans, not a foaming problem.  
For the best fill procedure, I'd suggest a fill, a short drive, then ck again 
at level.  The problem in both the torsen and non torsen boxes, is that the 
fluid needs to get to the tail housing (why both the locker and torsen have 2 
drains), which really doesn't in a single level stationary fill.  Reline MT90 
is the trans fluid of choice since it's properties allows the fluid to bond 
to the gears.
