Thanks to all who responded with info to my question on plugs for the 10V
turbo (namely an URQ WX).
I did run the WR5DS single electrode OE plugs I received from Rod at TPC for
a few days to check driving characteristics. It did not have WOT full power.
It started and ran well, but not enough full throttle grunt. The car also
didn't feel crisp or sharp, but felt dull and lethargic. Partial throttle
power however, was very good.
I had previously been using the Bosch W7DTC tri-electrodes that the PO used.
Upon the sage advice of Ben Howell, I tried a set of NGK BP6ET
(tri-electrodes) plugs today, and I must say the difference is remarkable!
Even better yet, the local Checker store had them on the shelf for $1.69 ea.
The car now has full power at full throttle with no hiccups, hesitations, or
other maladies that have plagued it since I put it back together. Part of my
original problem was a weak set of plug wires. New wires and these plugs has
taken the car to that final level of optimal (original spec) performance.
YRMV, but I _highly_ recommend these plugs for any I5.
THANKS Ben!!

Dennis
