Audi 100 boot (trunk) lid lock won't open - how do I get into it ?

Have some friends sit on the trunk lid.  This may relieve the pressure
enough to allow the latch/mech to open freely?

Yeah OK, I guess that falls into the brute force category.  Best idea I have
though...
