Tranmission ??? (was Mobil 1 in transaxel)

The oil I drained out was dark, but not gold colored.  The label on the 
Redline GL4 specifically references a problem with GL5 oils containing sulfur 
compounds which can chemically wear synchronizers. I am assuming the "gold 
color" that you are talking about is from the brass from syncro rings.  My 
transmission still shifts OK but actually shifted better with the Mobil 1 
than the Redline.  I still have some noise but it is much quieter than it was 
last week with the Mobil.  I also have a spare quattro transaxel which I 
believe came from a 4K. The code is AES with a 1986 date code.  When the time 
comes for a tranny change, does anyone know if I can simply swap out the tail 
section on that unit with my torson and install the 4K unit in my 91 2C?
