The extra clearance required can be obtained by placing a floor jack
under
the Passenger side of the sump and "lifting" one side of the motor.  I
suspect if you are having this much trouble then your motor mount on
is probably shot.  I got mucho more clearance on both my 89s when I
replaced
the destroyed (fell apart in my hands) mounts.
