Oh yeah... ::blush:: Carl was looking at too many european
websites, I'd immagine. We'll just pretend he meant the A6 4.2
::wink::

I dunno. To tell you the truth, I've never driven either one.. :p
I suppose I probably put too much stock into my feelings for the
appearance of the E39, which I find very Ho-Hum. I dont doubt for
a second that if I spent any amount of time behind the wheel of one
that my perception would be drastically altered... However,
comparing the 540i and the A6 only reminds me (on a smaller
scale) of when I was car shopping a few months ago and trying to
decide between a 535is and a 4000csq... (both '86) The 535is
having something like 85 (?) more horsepower and fantastic
handling, for me, just didn't beat the feeling of accelerating around
a cloverleaf at 75.. (I know, I know, I'm sorry) I went with the Audi,
which is saying a lot because despite my first impression, I've
grown to regard the E28 as one of the most beautiful cars *ever*...

With some classy 16" rims, tint, air dam... aaaahh... I must stop
this before I start having second thoughts. (its a little late)

I'd agree with that on the newest Audis, but BMW interiors are far
from shabby as you surely have noticed!
In fact, the difference between the 86 535i and 4k interiors? The
Audi dash looks cheap and, well, crappy compared to the lux E28
cockpit..

Blah blah blah,
Carl
