tires and loading

On a completely different note...
I am in need of tires for the '89 wagon, and had been thinking of  6.5"
wide 16" V8 rims or afternarket. However the recommended size is
205/55/16. While the rolling dia. is a close match, the load capacity is
only 1100# (stock tire is about 1300#). As the wagon is pushing 3600#
with me in it, I am concerned. Any digesters have thoughts on this? Is
this a similar issue to the Vanagon tires where one really should use
the reinforced sidewall tires due to load range issues. On the Audi I
suspect some tires work better than others, I am leaning toward the
P6000.
