You've got to be kidding...88 5ksq water pump replacement

Hello all,

Amazon.com didn't ship my Bentley(s) on time.  Now I'm about to try swapping out the water pump on my son's 88 5ksq (non-turbo) with Bentley references from my 84 4ksq.  It appears that I have to remove the camshaft pulley to remove the sheet metal cowling behind the pulley.  The cowling has to be removed to pull out the water pump...right?  I'm in a pickle here.  And, are the torque specs for this job (basically) the same for all bocks in the 5-cyl genre?  By the way, I rented the timing belt replacement kit from Blau...and the existing belt looks brand new...it figures.   Any immediate advice on removing the cam pulley... necessary?..unnecessary"...help!!!.  TIA
