the switch that goes into the radiator at the bottom.
when the switch closes (turns on) it triggers the fan...
the 5000 switch has 3 prongs.. the 4kq has 2 prongs..
the 5000's middle terminal is a lower temp..
so it will turn the fan on sooner.. hence the engine will cool better..
