I picked up 8 30lb cylinders ($45 each) when the writing was on the wall
a few years back. Market price is about $500 in the Boston area now,
local parts wholesaler (Jack Young) sells them for around $750, sold all
mine except for 2 I kept for the personal fleet and the odd refrigerator
refill. I'm in Brazil now, and just had the Cheby Astro AC vacuumed,
nitrogen tested and refilled with R134 for U$40, the guy even commented
that it was more expensive because the van uses the "ecological" gas.
