Speedometer Adjustment for 5KTQ?

Your speedo probably has always had this error. It seems that all 5kts of
this era had a 5 mph offset and a small slope error. I have a hard copy of
the original post for correcting the calibration and probably have a few
e-mail communications with the original poster in my files. I found that
moving the needle down by 5mph I got my speedo within 1 to 2 mph over the
range of 35 to 85 mph. Note that the scale doesn't start at zero but the
needle sets near the start of the scale. I haven't checked outside that
range. Changing the resistor will fine tune the upper end. I can dig
through my files at home if there is an interest.

Is there anyway to adjust the speed reading of the speedometer. Mine seems
to be reading a little fast after I replaced a gear(from spare unit) that
had caused the Odometer to stop working.
