{Simple optical character recognition} If you've got a printed
document that you need to e-mail to someone, or if you just want
to have it on your PC, you can't beat a scanner for... scanning
it. However, you can't really edit said document unless you have
something to get it from the real world into the electronic one.
Here sits an OCR app that'll turn your scanned documents into
editable text. Merci! It works in both English and French. If your
scanner has a TWAIN interface (and most modern ones do), you can
use this program. It'll process any bi-level TIFF image file, as
well.
