4kq PS filter removal, or pentosin mini-hell

All,

I need to replace the PS fluid (black) and filter in my 864kq. It looks 
really easy: just unscrew the wide cover and pull it out. Nope. Doesn't 
unscrew. It doesn't unscrew with a merican oil wrench. Well, after 16 years 
that's not much of a shock.

So, I heat the cap up with 1500w heatgun. Nope. I chip hit the knurl with a 
hammer and a flathead. Nope.

Given that I can actually see and access this part, and it's not technically 
broken (a new problem for this Audi): Any ideas on how to unscrew this?

BTW The pentosin (in a blue container with a white cap) I have is clear 
yellow, like brake fluid. Is this the right stuff? The bentley says use 
ATF>>>?
