Changing your Fuel pressure regulator

I finally resolved my problem. The best thing is that there are numerous implications for all V6-12V owners having problem with their engine (hesitation and emission problem).
I changed my fuel pressure regulator. It cost about 40$ US and it took five minutes to replace without specialized tool. 1) Depressurise fuel line by removing the fuel pump fuse while the engine is running; 2) disconnect the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator; 3) remove the clip; 4) pull the fuel regulator; 5) Installation is the reverse and make sure to put oil on the two seals to facilitate the installation of the new regulator.
My engine runs better, in fact it never ran like that. It is happy to rev and even at normal operating temperature. Now, there is no hesitation at high temp and full power.
For those having problem with emission, we speak about O2 sensors, but the fuel pressure regulator controls the fuel pressure and hence, indirectly, the air fuel ratio and emission. If the mixture is too rich = too much emission (Karl problem if I remember well)
This device is a spring load membrane, exposed to temperature and pressure variations all over its life. The classical test is that you don't have problem while starting the car: the fuel pressure regulator is OK: That is fault.
In fact, I now try to convince you that, as we change the OX regularly, we should also change that mechanical device in order to keep fuel pressure at the injectors at the prefect specifications and hence keep the ECU working within its specifications.
Hope this will help.
