Hi Liost:
I'm back online, so if anyone emailed me regarding trannies, please send
your email again. OK, now to my problem:
I want to sell my car tomorrow and since the clutch engaged only at the
very bottom of the pedal range (about 1" off the floor), I decided to
bleed the clutch since I bleed the brakes about 3 weeks ago. Clutch was
fine, only engaged too low for my liking...
So, jack up the car, open the bleed screw on the trans, and get the wife
to push the pedal. Bled away untll clean fluid came out and closed the
bleed screw (lost the little rubber cap, too). Then try the car and the
clutch pedal now sits about 2"off the floor and engages within a 2"
range of travel. Only goes to the top if I pull the pedal with my foot.
89 Audi Quattro. 100,000 miles.
What do I need to do to fix this problem?
Kind Regards
Rob in Germny
