The tie rod ends are a known issue, but I think Audi should have it
rectified by now.  The fuel sending unit issue is also a known problem
on the A6 quattros, but it seems to only happen on some cars.  I don't
know about the other problems Debra described, but sounds like she
really got a lemon.

FWIW, A friend of mine has a 2000 A6 2.7T and so far had zero problems
with it and has nothing but praise for the car.

I had to have the dealer replace my CD changer twice due to a stuck
magazine on my '01 S4, and replaced the climate control head due to a
buzzy interior temp sensor fan.  Now the car is just perfect.
