Poor warm starting (rich mixture )

My '88 type 44 avant is beginning to get quite reluctant to start when
warm. To me it seems that I've got a leakdown problem as there are obvious
signs of a rich mix, e.g. if it doesn't catch after some cranking, flooring
the throttle helps it get going. I've disconnected the cold start valve
(electrics plug not fuel supply) for the last week which has helped a bit
and now that the warm weather is here doesn't affect cold starts. I fairly
sure that either the injectors or cold start valve itself are leaking.
However being the RT engine I will need to split or remove the IM to get
at injectors or CSV. I had a quick check on the tightness of the bolts today
and tight they certainly are.
So before plunging into battle with reluctant bolts, I thought i'd check
with the list to see if anyone can suggest any other cause of the symptoms
listed above. I should add that the plugs, wires, distrib, coil and general
ignition system is all new/recent/check out OK and once started the car runs
super sweet as it always has.
Also anyone like to say how long lived the CS valve is compared to the
injectors, - which are the most likely to be at fault?
