my buddy with the '86 CGT in atlanta found a strange audi in a junkyard on
sat, outside atlanta...
he described it as this, to me:
'84-ish, silver CGT.. has the early Coupe 13" alloys on it, 4 lug "cookie
cutter pattern" (whatever they are called) 5 spd. quad sealed beam
headlights. grey velour interior.
grille all blacked out around headlights, etc. regular Coupe fenders, etc.

heres the wierd thing.
he was looking in the car, and forward of the ashtray there was a DIFF LOCK..
he then looked under the car and there was a DRIVESHAFT, and REAR DIFF.
he said the inside of the car was a mess, but everything looked stock..???
whats the deal? were there CGT quattros made that werent UrQuattros? the
car did not have the UrQuattro flared fenders.. did all UrQuattros have
the flared fenders?
was this a bizarre one off? a home brew wanna be UrQ? will the 4kq
driveshaft and rear diff just bolt right up to the CGT?

anyone know? bizarre...
any input appreciated..
chris
