4000s Stalling

It start's fine and will idle without any problem. But as soon as you put it
in gear(Drive) it will take about 30 seconds and begin to surge and misfiring
before stalling. I took it to a mechanic and he told me it was the fuel
distributor. I purchase(the whole top half of the air box) a used one and it
run better for 5 minutes, but still the same problem. Also done a tune up(cap,
rotor, plugs, air filter, fuel filter (both), and also a new fuel line (filter
to engine bay). This problem is so strange, but to top it all off late at
night/early morning during low tempatures it will run great. Any help to fix
this problem?
