Pissed off with the same questions all the time

Not that I blame you but from my point of view as a neophyte
(ie) long -time owner but limited mechanical knowledge &
experience....I have learned a ton precisely because things
are hashed over and over, reason it depends on who it is that
engages the question/subject and many times although the same
"question" comes up, the experience contributed varies greatly
and develops depth, when a tangent point of view or solution
pops up. So over time something as rudimentary as the the old
door jamb wiring window switch problem comes up again, as it
has at least a half dozen times just this year (or so it
seems) something new is bound to be revealed.
Things that could really be fixed?
1. work on the way the server "recognizes search words (which
depends on how the topics are 'Named" sometimes wholly
inappropriate so unavailable to search,,,,for instance the
"Futomo" thread we recently had....jeeeeez how in the heck
would one find that? it pertained to a siphon pump to change
your oil..fcs!...I still have no idea what Futomo or Fumoto or
Futobo means, forgive me folks.
2. Maybe there ought to be an elitist list, so after a year or
two on the regular quattro you'd just get so good you'd unsub
and move up to the real know-it-all pack. course that would
mean the rest of us would be REALLY fumbling! and probably the
regular quattro would die off, and dummies like me would move
to the elitist list to quietly spy on what the know-it-all's
were saying....My opinion is that that's the case already, at
least in my case.
3. There's a site called versiontracker that you can pick up a
program called "Digest Viewer" with which you can click on
each topic in a list like this and your view goes right to
THAT message or thread of messages. Pretty tidy, works for
macintosh, don't know about the rest of the world , sorry.
Tell you what though...when I'm tired of the bs from time to
time I just pass and click delete....course because the
headings are obscure sometimes, I miss out on something I
needed to know, then guess what folks...I write in ( or
cowardly wait for some other fool) and ask a really dumb
question that was just answered last week in detail...which
pisses everybody off....right?
heh, heh, heh...
