warning lamp with Euro lights

Does anyone know what triggers the bulb warning lamp
display when you install Euro lights?  Is it the brown
wire (ground) for the main headlamps?  For the parking
lamp?  If the burnout feedback is through the ground,
wouldn't including the brown from the headlamp/park
lamp in the new ground circuit keep that "feature" as
designed?  Are the original brown wires too feeble to
use for the ground? I did read several people sights
regarding Euro installs, but they all deal with this
by tricking the system.
